Information for Visiting Pilots
Aldinga Aviation is pleased to cater for pilots flying in for the weekend. It will be a great opportunity to meet and mingle and get to know fellow aviators.
Arrival and Departure
The air display starts at 1030 sharp on Sunday 7th April so understandably no other traffic will be authorised to land from 10 am on Sunday. Equally, we advise that no departures occur until after the event concludes at 4 pm. If you have exceptional circumstances requiring an earlier departure please contact us HERE. Arrival can occur anytime over the weekend prior to 10 am Sunday.

We will not be enforcing landing fees over the weekend.
Runway Closures
The following runways will be closed from 10 am Saturday to allow time to set up for the airshow. Runways 26/08 and 14/32.
Runway 03/21 will be the operational runway for the event after 10 am Saturday. Although Runway 18/36 (grass strip) can be used if required for arriving aircraft before 10 am Sunday and for departures after 4.00 pm Sunday.
Parking
After 10 am on Saturday 6th April visiting aircraft parking will be along the length of runway 26/08. We will have staff on-site to help direct you.
The public will be able to access this area so please tie down your aircraft and secure any valuables. We will have volunteers on site to help keep an eye on aircraft that are parked.
Prior to 10 am Saturday parking will be in various areas on the airfield and there will be volunteers to assist you.
If you have a special interest aircraft you think is worthy of public display in a prominent area please contact us.
Camping and Amenities
We would like to encourage as many visiting pilots to come for the entire weekend. Camping will be ‘under wing’ and we will be providing showers and toilets on site. There are many Airbnb’s in McLaren Vale and Willunga but suggest booking very early.
Food and Entertainment

Tickets
There is no charge for pilots and their passengers flying in for the event but please provide us advance notice so we can prepare some ID for you. Driving in? – Please purchase a ticket online HERE.
Fuel
The fuel bowser is located in what will be a very busy area during the weekend. We ask that if you need fuel for departure please obtain that on Saturday as there will be no visitor access to the bowser on Sunday without prior special arrangements. A Flying Fuels truck will be onsite for refuelling but access to the parking area will be limited while patrons are nearby.
